  The Arts Council's board of directors has revitalized to reinvent and expand the council's mission. We know the arts are an essential aspect of a civilized society, with implications that apply to business, science, governance, international relations, and quality of life.  We also know that a well-organized and properly-funded arts council can be a focal point for all arts activities in the area, making the arts more accessible to the public and visible in the community.   An arts council can transform the community's funding capacity into high-value arts programs and activities that fill the gaps in public education and the local arts arena.  
  The individual members of the Arts Council recommit themselves annually to our mission. Join us in sustaining an organization making important contributions to the arts in Indiana for over 33 years.The Arts Council of Southern Indiana is a non-profit organization led by a voluntary board of directors comprised of civic, arts, and cultural leaders in the region. Directors serve a three-year term and may serve for a maximum of six years.
